Haitian-DR migration: Social representations, a dimension to take into account

Dr. Rachelle Doucet holds a PhD in Anthropology from New York University. She is currently working as an independent consultant in Port-au-Prince, but is linked to le Centre d’Études sur le Développement des Cultures et des Sociétés (CEDCS), University of Quisqueya, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on project to project basis. Doucet has been engaged in various research projects with PRIO since 2004. We are very happy to include Dr Doucet in our programme, because of her experience both from Haitian society and academia in combination with her work as a consultant for, among others, the Peace Research Institute of Oslo (PRIO).

Her presentation here at our conference is titled Problematic of Migration between Haitian and the Dominican Republic: Social Representations, a dimension to take into account.
